The Kwa-Thema Cricket Club held its AGM recently. Before official proceedings got underway, the club’s founder, Prince Thethe, was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
In his report, club secretary Thami Mathibe said that the club performed well, from juniors to seniors. He also mentioned that parent involvement is extremely vital to the progression of children.
“More parents need to be involved. The number of parents is not reflected in the number of parents that are involved.
“The club has started leadership seminars with the junior teams and will progress to the senior teams as well.
“The club will also focus on the mental health of all the players and children in the club. This will also include the coaches,” he added.
