Between Monday and Wednesday, EMPD officers recovered a stolen truck and arrested three suspects in a separate incident – two males and a female.
Metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini stated that officers from the Eastern Region Task Team Unit received a call regarding a white Toyota Dyna truck that had been stolen in Thembisa.
Officers found a vehicle matching the same description abounded on Mazintoti Street, Langaville Ext 4 and towed it to a police yard.
Meanwhile, Tracing Unit officers arrested two men and a woman the SAPS sought for an alleged assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, malicious damage to property and domestic violence in Putfontein.
The suspects, charged with assault GBV, domestic violence and malicious damage to property, were detained at Putfontein Police Station and will soon appear before a magistrate’s court.
