Burnley are interested in signing Taylor Harwood-Bellis from Southampton in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun. West Ham United are also said to be keen on a summer deal for the 23-year-old central defender.
Harwood-Bellis spent the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Southampton from Manchester City before making the deal permanent. The England international scored three goals in 38 appearances for the Saints last season, as they got relegated from the Premier League.
The Sun has reported that Burnley manager Scott Parker is keen on bringing Harwood-Bellis to Turf Moor. The youngster himself is said to want to continue playing in the Premier League. Burnley’s plan is to sign the 23-year-old on a loan deal with an option to make it permanent. West Ham are also interested in Harwood-Bellis, but the Hammers have a limited budget and will make a move for the Englishman only if they sell a player and need a replacement.
