By 20:24 on November 24, all prepaid electricity meters must be upgraded to Key Revision Number 2 (KRN 2). After this time, tokens will not work on unupgraded meters, potentially leaving households without electricity.
The City reports that it has reached its target, updating 100% of actively used meters. However, residents unsure of their meter’s status are urged to verify it before contacting the City.

What to Do If Your Meter Is Not Updated
If your meter displays a 1 or 1 2, it has not been upgraded. Residents should collect a set of Keychange tokens from their nearest Energy Department office to complete the update.
Failure to upgrade will prevent you from loading electricity tokens, effectively rendering your meter inoperable.
