Hospice East Rand is inviting community members to attend its upcoming Candles Celebration.Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!
At the event, community members will come together to honour loved ones, support those facing life-threatening illnesses, and take a moment to embrace the beauty of life.
This year’s Candles Celebration will take place on November 16, from 17:00 at the Jardine Pavilion, St Dunstan’s College.
Marketing and media liaison Jonquil Siepman said it promises to be a heart-warming gathering, offering an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and celebrate with family, friends, and the community.
“As always, the event is a space where families can come together to honour those journeying through illness and to remember loved ones who have passed,” said Jonquil.
With food trucks offering delicious meals, the community can bring picnic blankets, camp chairs or use the available seating as they enjoy an evening filled with music and reflection.
Jaryd Smyth, a local artist, will headline this year’s musical performances, alongside other gifted community musicians. Jonquil said that as the sun sets, candles will be lit as symbols of love, remembrance, and hope.
Candles will be available for purchase at the gate, offering everyone the chance to light a beacon of support and remembrance for those who have touched our lives.
